Renée Marquez
In her role as Assistant Director, Renée Marquez works to provide a campus connection to parent and family members, understanding that they are crucial partners in their student’s academic success. Along with her team, she is dedicated to ensuring the parents, families and supporters of students feel connected and engaged in the university experience by encouraging a partnership with dedicated programing and communication throughout the students college journey. Renée is a member of the Association of Higher Education in Parent, Programming Professionals (AHEPPP), a family engagement in higher education program where she was given the advantage to present at their regional conference and the opportunity to promote student success though supporter relations.
Renée joined the Parent and Family Programs (PFP) team in July, 2021 and previously represented the office of undergraduate admissions and enrollment management at the University of Arizona, serving extensively in several rewarding roles working with students, families and administrators since the fall of 2007.
As a first generation college student and proud Arizona alumna, Renée earned a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Development with a minor in Business in Higher Education from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Renee has a family at home and when she is not working, loves to spend time with her husband and three kids, enjoying their love for the great outdoors.
